Customising Powerpoint

Customising the Microsoft Powerpoint menus is quite straight forward you can alter what menus appear each time powerpoint loads up and customise where the menus are placed on your powerpoint program. You can also have menus that will hover over your powerpoint presentation or you can have them fixed in the page, so they always appear in the same place.
Moving powerpoint menus
Moving a powerpoint menu is done by moving your mouse cursor over the small vertical band when you are in the correct place over the menu band the mouse cursor will change to this you can now click and hold the mouse button down and drag the powerpoint menu to where you want it placed on the page. This will take a bit of playing around with to get everything where you want it.
Create a floating PowerPoint menu
to create a floating powerPoint menu select the vertical menu bar, click and drag the menu over the presentation page and let go. This will give you a floating menu as shown in the image on the left.

To place the menu back into the workspace, click on the top menu bar, drag and place it outside the powerpoint page, once you have the powerPoint menu where you want it release it. This is really handy if you only use certain items while creating PowerPoint pages.

Another way of selecting the PowerPoint menus is to go into 'Tools' and select 'Customize' this will open a tick box menu as shown below. here you can tick box the PowerPoint items you use these will be applied to PowerPoint, and then you can move them to where you want them within your powerPoint page layout. Its good to try all of these out so you can get a good idea of how powerful Powerpoint is.
Removing PowerPoint Menus
The quickest way of doing this I've found is to drag the powerPoint menus that you don't want to use over the presentation so they float, then click on the top right corner on the X. Or you can go to 'tools' and untick the boxes in the customize menu box.
